About me

I live in Adelaide, South Australia. I am the son of Italian parents who migrated to Australia from Foggia in Puglia in the 1950s. I am married and have two grown up children. I love Italy and the Italian language.

In 2011, I spent 10 weeks in Lecce (in the "heel" of Italy in Puglia) studying Italian at the School of Italian for Foreigners (SIS Lecce). It was a wonderful experience and one of the best things I have ever done. It was my inspiration for the Lecce Italian Language Experience.

I've been taking Italian language tours to Lecce and SIS Lecce each year since 2012. Elsewhere on this site you can find out about my tours and how you can join.

Lecce and the School of Italian for Foreigners are two of Italy’s best kept secrets.

I bring you this perspective as someone who has experienced Lecce both as a traveler, and as a student and resident. If you're going to Italy to learn Italian you should go to Lecce.

I am very happy to correspond with you by email, in person or by telephone about the School of Italian for Foreigners, Lecce, or my tours. I am also available to give presentations to groups. See my contact details below.

You can subscribe to this website by entering your email address in the "Join our Mailing List" box at the top of this page. You can also like the Learn Italian in Lecce Facebook page.

In the meantime if you choose the School of Italian for Foreigners and this site helped you decide, please let them know.

Thank you.
